For professionals to effectively play their part in promoting, protecting and fulfilling children’s human rights, they need to have good knowledge and relevant skills.
In support of the implementation of the UNCRC, Scottish Government have commissioned Children’s Parliament, Together, JRS knowhow and JustRight Scotland to create a Children’s Rights Skills and Knowledge Framework. The Framework will enable individuals in the workforce to better understand the knowledge and skills they need to fully deliver children’s rights. Using the Framework, organisations can support their staff to learn, develop and utilise these knowledge and skills in their everyday practice.
Alongside our project partners, we are working with a panel of children and families to ensure that this important framework is ready for UNCRC implementation in 2024.
