It was your idea…A.I just took it out your head and put it onto paper for you.
Member of Children’s Parliament
In this collaboration with The Alan Turing Institute, with support from the LEGO Group, Children’s Parliament facilitated workshops with children to help researchers to understand the impacts of generative A.I use on children.
Taking a children’s human rights approach, we ran creative workshops in two state-funded schools in Scotland, engaging 40 children aged between 9 and 11 years. In the workshops, children explored generative A.I tools and how they are used, and they discussed their hopes and concerns about the future of AI and ways that generative A.I should be designed and developed.
Watch the film below to hear about the project from the children themselves.
To find out more about the project, and what we learned about children’s views on generative A.I, check out the following report from our partners at The Alan Turing Institute.
