Exploring Children’s Rights and A.I – Stage One Film

In Stage One of the project, the children were introduced to A.I and Children’s Rights and they identified 4 key themes as areas that need further exploration: Fairness and Bias, Safety and Security, A.I and Education, and The Future of A.I.

Exploring Children’s Rights and A.I – Stage Two Film

In the second stage of the project, the children explored the four key themes in greater depth with a range of professional partners. We looked into how children interact with AI, what they think the possibilities and risks are for the use of A.I for children in Scotland, and how children can become meaningfully involved in A.I development and policy.

A.I explained for and by children

In this playlist, Members of Children’s Parliament (aged 10 to 12) from Edinburgh and Dundee explain key A.I and children’s rights concepts in their own words for their peers. The scripts were written by the children and based on the views and ideas of over 140 children from across Scotland who took part in the project Exploring Children’s Rights and A.I.


Children’s Calls to Action

In this film, the children set out their 12 Calls to Action for decision-makers: what Members of Children’s Parliament think needs to happen to make sure A.I supports all children to be happy, healthy and safe.
