Teacher Employment Review

The Scottish Government initiated a review of the teaching workforce in Scotland. Known as the McCormac Review, participants were asked to reflect on “the need for a flexible, creative, learner-centred teaching profession that supports Curriculum for Excellence and excellent education for the future”.

The Children’s Parliament engaged with children to explore their experiences of learning and teaching. The children identified the characteristics and skills which teachers need and what their learning environment should be like.
